Caspian SME Impact Fund

Our fourth fund, the SME Impact Fund, was set up in 2017 in partnership with Hivos-Triodos Fonds, managed by Triodos Investment Management, to invest in innovative SMEs engaged in Food & Agriculture, Clean Energy, and Financial Services. In our investment phase, we looked for companies that built or enabled efficient access to high-quality essential services, access to markets for small producers, or access to finance for micro-enterprises. Our portfolio includes a technology company focused on climate-smart solutions for cold storage, irrigation, and energy management; the world’s largest biogas engineering company that offers proprietary gas purification products and a comprehensive range of project integration services; and an innovative credit guarantee company that allows lenders to expand their MSME portfolio across sectors including agri-financing and climate financing.

The Fund is fully invested and is currently in the exit phase.
